NEW 40 ft / 12m XHD Xtra Heavy Duty fiberglass pole! Bigger and stronger than the standard 40 ft poles.
Top segment diameter is 11/16 inch, bottom outside diameter 2 and 9/16 inches (3 inches with rubber end cap installed). Top segment has a threaded plug adapter at the top. The pole is supplied with a eyebolt with an M6 metric thread. Use this eyebolt at the top or replace with another M6 threaded device. Pole can also be used hollow by removing the eyebolt.
An application weighing up to 2 pounds can be attached at the top of this pole as opposed to the standard pole versions which are recommended for wire only at the tip.
Specially reinforced winding method for fiberglass like all Spiderbeam® poles with many layers of fiberglass would in alternating directons lengthwise and crosswise. Stronger joints have been achieved by significantly increasing the overlap between individual tube segments.
Poles can also be used at shorter heights, simply remove segments out of the bottom of the pole before putting it up to use at a lower height.
As the top diameter is 11/16" these masts can be used at the full 40 ft length with larger wire antennas at the top - a sample antenna erected when testing these new poles was a full size 80m inverted vee using #18 AWG stranded bare copper wire.
Guy belt and clamp kit included as standard accessories with the pole.
These poles are suitable for permanent installations. Fiberglass is coated with black UV resistant paint. Glossy at application, long term exposure to weather will turn it a more matte looking finish. They can be left outside for many years without effect. Put it up and KEEP IT UP!
